Lumina-PTFE – Non-resorbable barrier
Barriers
Lumina-PTFE is a synthetic, non-resorbable dense PTFE barrier, biocompatible and sterile, indicated for bone and soft tissue regeneration surgeries. It has no surface porosity, allowing its exposure to the oral environment without soft tissue coverage. Easy to gradually shape into the desired form, it is memory-free and can remain exposed for a maximum period of 28 days.
ANVISA REG. No.: 80522420004
Lumina-PTFE is a non-resorbable and neutral barrier indicated in surgical protocols for bone and/or connective tissue reconstruction and grafting, acting as an adjunct in bone regeneration and repair with the purpose of covering bone defects, protecting bone defect sites, protecting exposed root furcations, assisting in the integration of periodontal tissue components, as well as serving as a barrier against the invagination of existing soft tissues at sites of bone defects to be corrected in medical/dental surgical procedures such as:
• Periodontal intra-bony lesions;
• Periapical lesions;
• Bone cavities;
• Minor volume corrections for esthetic purposes;
• Minor corrections resulting from periodontal and peri-implant bone fenestration or dehiscence;
• Biomechanical barrier in guided tissue regeneration processes;
• Reconstruction of periodontal ligament components.
The Lumina-PTFE product must always remain in a closed surgical site, isolated from the environment.
Lumina-PTFE is a non-resorbable product designed to fulfill two main functions in the bone and tissue regeneration process:
• To cover the volume of the bone defect, complementing mineral grafts, preventing the invagination of soft tissue into the site until proper new bone formation occurs;
• To serve as protection for the metabolic and tissue regeneration process in a closed, neutral, and biocompatible manner.
